I use the no pockets in a shroud a lot.

We are aiming for planned decline. Start off with your pot of loot, do everything you want before you die and exit leaving nothing. The trick of course is knowing when you will exit.

What I have seen is a lot of folk “ lingering” with loads of money but their bodies are only fit for watching daytime TV…… Oh and no sign whatsoever of the family that will inherit. They only come out of the woodwork for the reading of the will and then vanish again
That is so true. SWMBO was a home help for a number of years and the amount of lonely old folk who she visited never hardly saw anyone but her from one week to the next. As soon as they had popped their clogs, the family parasites were there, divvying up the the belongings and putting the house on the market.  >:(

Replaced the Omega heater matrix. Will leave sticking the bits of dash etc. back together for tomorrow.
Got the foam underlay from o/s/f hanging up to dry. Will probably give it a helping hand with a heat gun tomorrow and hopefully have it all back as it should be.
Wouldnt have fancied trying the job without the OOF guide.  8)

Still got a lot less heat on the drivers side than passenger side though. Despite popping the arm back that had come off.
So need to investigate that.  ::)

Did you flush the coolant through the plumbing?

Might just need a burp...

Yeah thats all ok .Previously pass side was hot and drivers side cold.
End of rod had popped out of its arm so servo motor thing wasnt having any effect.
Fixed that and now pass side still nice and hot but drivers side lukewarm.
No idea why, but will try and find out.

Ran a new loom from the Comand module to the glovebox on the proper car as part of the ongoing retrofit projects.

Only a little thing, but as the car is of a certain age, whilst it has Bluetooth, it doesn't allow for music streaming so a more traditional plug and play solution was required. Fortunately it was a retrofit option and the genuine looms are readily available at reasonable prices... A working solution for less than £50 using genuine bits rather than trying to stuff a Chinese Android into it. >:D

What are you going to plug into it / use a source?

I carry a USB stick with talking books recorded onto it. My girls are at an age where they can listen for hours to Enid Blyton but cannot sit still for more than 20 minutes without fighting otherwise.

In most newish cars & hire cars I can play from a USB stick but my Galaxy is a little too old. I had the bright idea of plugging my phone into the aux socket but that didn't work because my phone doesn't have a 3.5mm earphone socket. Next plan was to use Bluetooth but the installed (Nokia CK7W) adapter only supports mono/phone mode.

My daughter has a little pink MP3 player - the user interface is painful but it will have to do for now...........

You can get a Bluetooth audio receiver that plugs into the 3.5mm aux. They work well IME and most modern smartphones allow you to connect to both these and the car's phone-only Bluetooth at the same time.

They generally get power from USB, but you can likewise buy a power adapter for the 12v socket.

My phone via it's headphone socket >:D

Bluetooth happily connects to the car for telephone purposes, but not streaming, so 3.5mm jack into RCA plugs straight into the head unit. The car side also has a video input, although that's a moot point as it already has a dvd changer.

It's another thing to code into the head unit, but it's an official retrofit so no Biggie.

Ultimately Spotify an YouTube are significantly better than any DAB/DVB offerings so won't be retrofitting either, and I refuse to fit some hacky chinesey shite into anything.

What age is the Galaxy? A simple HU upgrade could solve the issue... Sony XAV 8050 or similar would tick all your boxes if you've a suitable Din sized hole.

2008.
The Galaxy, S-Max and Mondeo all came with double DIN Sony head units with an oval face. I could pick up the MP3 variant for around £50 but I won't be keeping it long enough to make it worthwhile.

Broken the Bini >:(

It shredded the aux belt on the way to work. An hour and a half later, the AA have turned up and decided, obviously that they can't fix it and don't have time to drag it home. So currently sat waiting for actual recovery instead of going to LA.

;D Tenth trip there since the beginning of April  ::)

Ta, local factors has a belt in stock, but it's probably going to be prudent to go through the cooling system as I almost boiled it :-[

Check to see if any bits went into the timing belt cover.
