Swapped the steering wheel in the black car back to a standard one so I can refurbish the Irmscher one.

Found myself having to inflate a tyre today after a TPMS warning, which was checked to be 32PSI on Thursday.

I suspect it will be down again tomorrow.

How many oppsing tyres is that so far this year?

You'll never get a pull/fail an MOT for a bald tyre. Every cloud..... :)

The tyre is fine.

The rim is not so good.

Repairable? Or destined to be an ornament?

Finally got fed up with the sticky muck on the surfaces of all the door compartments, so removed all the door cards, scraped the gunk off using (very) hot water and a plastic scraper then rubbing with Cif on a non-scratch scourer. Came up a treat.

Related to this, the climate control buttons are also really sticky - not sure what to do about them because when I ran my fingernail over one, it removed the goo but also started to remove the lettering...

While the front passenger door card was off, I swapped its lock motor - old one worked but seemed very sluggish like it couldn't really be bothered. Been meaning to do that for ages.

Four new tyres - inner edge wear on the fronts and a big screw sticking out of a rear. 9 years old as well, so...

Now it's on to MOT advisories.

If you've not had any suspension work done recently, you'll be well advised to go through the front bushes and ball joints, closely followed by a decent alignment. :y

I think you're right - given that one of my advisories was this: "Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement inner front bush (5.3.4 (a) (i))"

I'll get my thoughts together and post on the General Help section. I reckon that this might be too much for me to handle - to much heavy lifting for my hands!

Thanks for the advice.

The front ones can be replaced with poly bushes, but you would be well served by fitting poly bushes to a pair of new arms along with new track rods.
