Outside temp sensor seems to read ok even if it is only applicable to facelift cars

Omega General Help / Climate Control
« on: 10 September 2012, 22:47:41 »
And here was me thinking I had all the bugs ironed out of my Climate System  :)
I have a 1997 Omega Elite, I noticed today with climate temp set to 19 the air was cold, I increased the temp to 22 as it was a cold day but after 5 mins thought bloody hell it's still cold in here, to cut a long story short the only way to get hot air through any vents was to set the temp to HI only the climate control. I had this problem before on a VW and it was a broken wire on the sensor on top of the dash.
I also noticed the wooden trim surrounding the 4 round climate control buttons was very hot to the touch.
I just want to get any input on this before I go dismantling the dash yet again!!

What would you recommend to soak the throttle bodies in to break up a lot of built up dirt ?

Thanks

Looking a wiring diagram for the headlight washer system in a 1997 Omega Elite. I presume they operate with the windscreen washers ?

Thanks

Yeah I have aircon, but the belt is only 2030-2040mm in diameter were as the one I was sold was 2260mm in diameter, could have been for a different car for all I know, I'm just annoyed  :y

Alpine and kenwood D/Din cages suffer this issues, they are slightly bigger so don,t fit in most D/Din facia's  ;D
You need to get a cage from a connects2 D/Din etc it comes with brackets that screw on side of head unit to lock it into new cage

Anyone got a part number for the transfer pipe ?
What about the 3 red o-rings that go between the black plate and the manifold that is attached to the plenum, are they worth replacing or just grease up, I going on the fact it's a 1996 car and they maybe have never been changed even though the cam cover gaskets were done 15k miles ago.

Thanks
