Where has the suggestions area gone? I was going to suggest a waxing / detailing area, unless of course it's already been done.

Mind you too damn hot to wax here in 40 deg C heat. The heat itself is not that bad it's the humidity which is the killer. You just end up dripping in sweat and get soaked right through and it doesn't help when you drip all over the car.

Those Nokia phones have been going for years. Probably now classics in the short time that mobiles have been around. Sizewise not too big and not too small. Probably the only phone you wouldn't knock for not having a colour display.

The layout of IE 7 is definately better in my opinion. No need to open loads of browsers as you open tabs instead. But then I suppose you could argue that you only need to open one tab / browser - the OOF site!

It's not due to the camber on the road by any chance is it? Might just make the problem worse.

Postal service is a bit naff here, they only deliver to PO Box numbers. It would probably be easier for me to wait till I got to the UK. Mind you I did bring back with me a set of radio removal keys, an ignition barrel and some touch up paint.

Well after finally removing the stereo from the car, I decided that I was not going to try to take the unit apart in order to find out why the CD player is jammed with the last owners CDs in it.

It will be interesting to see whether the guy I've given it too can sort it. In this part of the world there tends to be a 'call back tommorow / come back tommorow' attitude to everything. I hope my unit doesn't go down this route.  :(

Anyway just in case it gets completely trashed I'll be on the lookout for one in fully working order. Trouble is postage costs would be a fortune.  :(

of the Omega?

Sorry, couldn't fit all of the question into the subject bar. Would be interested to know though.

Intrestingly Ford stopped the Scorpio and Toyota no longer offer the Camry.

I had my camber adjusted. I'm not sure how they did it, but everytime I reverse or go up or down a ramp there is a small knocking noise. But at least the tyres should be OK. But I did get both wishbone bushes both sides changed and the drop link rods. All in all its a lot better.

Just maybe check that the PC is set to boot from the CD first.

General Discussion Area / New winder for window
« on: 09 August 2008, 17:38:07 »
So much for me bragging about getting a cheap ignition barrel and key yesterday.

Today my rear passenger cable in the window winder snapped leaving my rear window down in 40 deg C heat. Had to buy the complete part including motor and it cost me the best part of GBP 275.00.  :'(

Oh well at least the installation is cheap, I was quoted GBP 20.00  ;D

« on: 08 August 2008, 18:32:56 »
Picked up my Omega with a new crank sensor and ignition barrel. A spare key came with the ignition barrel and it worked out at around GBP 100.00 for the barrel and key here in Doha, Qatar. The key starts the car so it is not a dummy. Vauxhall wanted GBP 80.00 just for the key. Sorry no pound sign on my keyboard.
