Worth doing both sides at the same time, DBW V6's such as 2.6 have far more space as there is less loom in the way.

Always genuine on these, follow our guide and it's fairly straight forward. A torque wrench is a must though :)

could you plz copy the link ive been through the guides but cant find that one :y

Oddly enough, it's under the heading 'Engine : Petrol V6'... ::)

Anyhoo...

Hello everyone I just got a bargain on gumtree omega 2.6 v6 saloon at only 98000 miles on sounds sweet and runs lovely, just needs aset of track rod ends and front tyres years m.o.t and tax but I didnt want to pay for tax as wont be running it yet, just wondering what are they like on fuel and what are they commen for fault wise, oh its a 51in blue brill condition in and out. Thanks darren

sorry meant to say it has got a years m.o.t

What with the need for 2 front tyres and knackered TREs - wonder what else may be up with it (devils advocate ;))

It failed the mo.t on the offside track rod end and when I jacked it up hes done the nearside and not done the offside I was thinking if he put the r on the near side instead of putting it on the offside would that make a big diffrence and hasnt took it for tracking but I brought a new set today both new fronts outer and inner track rod ends then il take it for tracking then go from there needs 2 front tyres as hes said hes been driving it like it since a year as it was a advisory on last m.ot. for the sack if 27 pound could of saved 2 tyres at 50 each.  :-\

See ''Common Issues'' section to learn all about this wonderful motor  :y

Ideally when warm. But be warned. With the reaction between the steel glow plug and the alloy head, the glow plug doesnt always come out without a fight. If it feels like its going to snap, leave it.

thank you for the heads up, I will be xtra careful now when undoing them, thank you  :y
