A Muslim was seated next to an Australian on a flight from London to
Melbourne, Australia.

After the plane was airborne, drink orders were taken. The Aussie asked
for a rum and coke, which was brought and placed before him.

The flight attendant then asked the Muslim if he would like a drink.

He replied in disgust, "I'd rather be savagely raped by a dozen whores
than let liquor touch my lips."

The Aussie then handed his drink back to the attendant and said, "Me
too. I didn't know we had a choice."

I don't think anyone needs to leave .. a nights sleep, a little tolerance, maybe a PM or 2 to sort things out,  lets all sit back and SLOW DOWN ... instant reactions lead to long term pain ..  please BOTH reconsider what you are saying !!

I'm afraid I'm going to regret saying this but, I've done a bit of coarse fishing in my time. What's the question?  :-/

Well, i do hell of a lot on the river Lugg in Mordiford near Hereford.

Anyway, I use a carbon 13 foot rod, I have the chance of a 1962 cane rod, its in good condition, just needs some new eyes, Question is, have you had any expierience with cane rods.

 :-/ :-/

[serious head on]

Old fashioned "split cane" rods used to be the "Rolls Royces" of rods in the 60's / 70's .. before nylon & fibreglass became the cheaper/better options. A good cane rod, well looked after is strong, flexible and extremely sensitive. Furniture requires replacing every 5-6 years as the whipping usually starts to fray, but that is a nice, satisfying job for the close season. If you get the chance to have a play with it you should find that it is a pleasure to use

[/end serious head]

if you use a cane at a reel would the other dancers beat you up ??  :)
