General Discussion Area / Oil for my new compressor
« on: 28 February 2008, 20:11:17 »
Just relieved Aldi of one of their compressors on special offer.  It comes with a minimal amount of oil not quite up to the min level.  The manual states SAE 30 oil which of course I dont have so would some of my Vauxhalls semi synth do any harm? Its range does cover SAE 30 does it not

Just a thought ....ever considered a Jaguar XK8, should tick all your boxes, now available from about £6000 upwards.  A lot of car for your money IMHO

I've got to agere with you...especially with two Vauxhalls on the drive, the wifes 04 Zafira DTI throws out codes faster than a WW2 German cypher machine.  All related to its ( second) Barometric Pressure Sensor.PITA!!!

Hi The Doctor
I am in Willenhall just round the corner and would be very interested in seeing/helping with your conversion....they do a 4 pot conversion for £550 which would be ideal for my 2.2 estate.  Any one else had any experience of these kits?
Rich

I've received my renewal notice today from insure....£604!!!!!
So it was with interest that I read what hte rest of you pay.
A quick visit to admiral and....wait for it  £250!!    11 years protected and £150 vol excess 2001 cdx auto

The words Bobbing Rastards spring to mind.  How can they justify trying to charge nearly 350 quid more for the same cover....and their customer service was shocking

General Discussion Area / Re: EuroCarParts lie!
« on: 16 February 2007, 16:10:59 »
I have only dealt with their Branch in Oldbury West Midlands when I had a BMW a few years back and can only give them praise.....they saved me a fortune in the 7 years I had that car and never gave me a wrong or rubbish item,  although now they do supply parts for many more vehicles so perhaps their once excellent product knowlege is now being stretched a bit thin.  I wasnt aware they did Vauxhall parts but now I know they do I will give them another try.

On the subject of suspension bushes...does anyone know if you can get the bush for the steering idler as it grieves me to buy the whole item just for the bush
