  all sorted , pick up in tank gunked up with black sludge, wiped out and put back with new fuel filter under bonnet , bit fiddly and I need a new sealing ring  sooner or later for pick up in boot but I am a happy chap , thanks to original poster for highlighting problem

Omega General Help / DTI 2.2 Stutter.

I have a 53 plate CDX 2.2 DTI that has developed a strange problem, car starts well even after one week of standing, ticks over well, no hunting, but has now developed a miss fire when applying steering to left, I can cause this by weaving slightly from left to right 
On  left hand sweeps it feels like it is missing until I straighten up .
At the moment tank is half full , has  fuel filter changes every 5000 when oil and filter changed . Is run using Millers diesel additive and 200ml of two stroke to every 20 L diesel ,which I did for 60000 miles in Vectra C 2.2 DTI with no problems.
Will get a fuel filter change tomorrow.
Any advice or suggestions will be welcome

the hazards flash as well when this happens , I disconnected the bonnet switch but it still did it so I lock it by method previous said.
Key on ebay I bid on with uncut blank so hopefully I can get someone in Suffolk area to tech 2 it otherwise it will be off to Bury St Edmunds to main dealers , they have quoted about £70.00.

Thanks for that , I will have a look about , mine is one with three buttons on the key . I hate having one key as the alarm has started whining for no reason i now lock car by opening back door and pressing drivers button down as suggested on here , with keys on roof of car so I dont lock the buggers in

I think I have ballsed up and am thinking something different , I have looked at pics on this forum about these parts and I think mine is stuck  in the close position and doestnt have a part missing  I will have another knuckle grashing look tomorrow.

one has the inside part that the screw  screws into missing so it just butts up against the collar if you see what i mean

Good Afternoon  from sunny Suffolk 

just joined as I have returned to Omega ownership after a Vectra Sri 2.2 dti , nice car but was going to seed with various expensive electronic problems , so chopped it in sharpish before MOT for a 53 plate 2.2 DTI CDX, 105 thousand on clock , nice decent honest car , lovely ride and with a engine that I like .
Handbrake has probs but thanks to guide on here I tried to adjust up but still not much cop so a strip down will be done.

Anyways thats me.
