Funny that you mention the seatbelt pretensioner as the airbag warning light is also on and the previous owner said it was a pretensioner at fault.

Omega General Help / Driver's seat won't adjust
« on: 04 June 2008, 20:44:53 »
After the sterling help I got with my crank sensor I thought you may be able to help with another issue,

My driver's seat is part electric / mechanical and I can't adjust it properly. It will slide fwd/bwd (mechanical) but the buttons on the side won't move it up it up or down, looking underneath I can see the motor trying to power, when pressing the button it makes a 'thunk' sound and slightly shifts up / down. Also the lever on the front right to make the front of the seat shift up / down (mechanical) doesn't work, the seat seems to be stuck apart from sliding back and forth.

So does anyone have an idea what this maybe, is it common?

Ah, please can you point a noob in the dirction of this switch and what it lookslike?

Two more problems if I could get advice:

Firstly is that the drivers lock will not budge (will not move left or right at all) if I try to open it manually, almost like I'm using the wrong Key but the fob opens the doors ok.

Also the alarm keeps randomly going off, I've noticed this seems to be in hot weather, especially when its parked in sunlight.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated  :y

Ah ok, so if I go to my vauxhall dealer they should sell me one?

Also I've seen the walkthrough, finding the sensor next to the oil filter doesn't seem a problem but it is also connected at the back of the engine, does anyone have a pic of this or is it simple enough to follow the lead back?

It says on the list:

31   No Engine RPM Signal

I thought that was normal if the engine wasn't running?

OK, just followed the instructions but just got a 12 then 31, did it three times to check and same again.

So is this a good thing or bad thing?

Omega General Help / Turns over but won't fire? HELP!!

Hoping to god someone can help me as I'm at my wits end. Just got another Omega (2.5 V6 CD T reg manual) and 3 weeks after it won't start  >:(

Went out this morning, the engine turns over, there seems to be power ok but the damn thing won't fire. Was fine yesterday and nothings happended recently to suggest something like this was going to happen. The only thing that had happened is that we had very heavy rain over the past couple of days.

I would really appreciate any help  :-[

I'l have a poke around at the weekend, finish work to late to do in the evenings, I'l let you know what I find out.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, at the meont only when I accelerate I hear a small whining, I would says sounds like air coming out of a small hole but I could be wrong, also there seems to be more heat in relation to the faster I'm going.
