Genuine? This part #90458252

I got the part from GSF. It is a Original TOPRAN spare 207 013 756 [replacing 90 12 039] GSF Part No BBH92313
Vehicle is a 2.0ltr
The wiring on the plug has the three wires coloured red   white and black the white wire goes to the inletside of the plug red is the centre wire and black is the one on the exhaust side. Which ones go to which wire on the car loom? as they are differant colours.
Regards Mike

« on: 07 May 2009, 23:26:26 »
Hi Peeps, This may sound old hat as it has cropped up time and again and I suppose a lot of the knowledgable ones amongst you will probibly give this one a big [OH F**K NOT THAT OLD CHESTNUT AGAIN  ;D ;D ;D
Well for anyone who is still reading, this is my delemmer-: I have a 1997 2ltr estate and on inspecting the loom behind the car jack in the wheel well I have come across a Square socket with a wire looped from one hole to another, this part is removable from the plug which is attached to the loom. If this is the plug to use to wire up the tow bar electrics how does one fit the cables into the socket? and of cause the daftest question is which cables go into which holes!!!!!!! :-[
If there is anybody in my area who is knowledgable in this matter who could come and show me what neads to go where I would be most greatfull if he could pop round and sort this problem out for me! 8-) :) :y

You mean you replaced a wire from the cam sensor to the ecu? Was it a bigger wire[mm/sq] Did you remove the ECU to access the socket?

You may just be correct in your assumpsion as I did notice the other wire but did ignore it. I will now go and connect said wire to ground+

It has been replaced with the GM modified one. This had been fitted prior to my owning the car. Have fitted the new cable that came with the replacement sensor and soildered the wires on to the same positions as before as the colour codes on the wires do not match for what ever reason!

Just changed cam shaft sensor on my 2.0ltr Mig and the ECU light is still on. It is still limiting revs to 3600ish ie safety mode.
Any ideas welcome.
