Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Aftermarket Alarm
« on: 20 December 2006, 00:30:17 »
Does anyone have an after market alarm on their catera (omgea mv6)? I do and i cant seem to figure out why it sets itself off after ten mins after the door is closed i thought i was connected to the wrong power wire so i ran a new one directly to the battery and it still does it! the alarm will sound and rearm and wont go off again or i can wait 10 mins to arm and it wont go off how do i get around this problem ? anyone else havin problems? Im pretty sure it has to do with the small lights on the door staying on till after 10 minutes after the door is closed

Omega General Help / MV6/Catera/EcoTec3.0 v6 performance parts
« on: 02 October 2007, 23:41:50 »
What are the performance parts available for the omega mv6 and catera with the 3.0 ecotec engine?  So far i have found a Piper Cam+20 hp http://www.pipercams.co.uk/NewPiperWeb/redesign/PiperCamFrames.html

and a performance throttle body http://www.headtune.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_43_63&products_id=28

Anything else? I have removed the mufflers/resonators to free up some exhaust flow and have an intake that helps sound but i want more power is there a chip or anything else? what are my options? ;)

Omega General Help / Transmission glitch?
« on: 25 September 2007, 22:35:41 »
Hello everyone, i have a 98 catera 3.0 or MV6 to you all it has an automatic transmission with a minor problem, Ok just today the transmission light turned on when I was on the highway it has come on one other time since i had the car and it happens in third gear i think because the car is going 80mph and accelerating but it always goes away after restarted and runs very well  The car runs super and the transmission shifts seem fine could it be Low fluid?, bad fluid? the Transmission ECM Module? or any other ideas? Bad connection? Dirty connection? anything?  Car has 115k but doesnt drive like it. I just don't know what to do, dont really want to spend 900+ in the end on a new /rebuilt transmission especially if i don't need one which every place will tell me i do so they can get my money  My first step so far is to check fluid level and add a high performance transmission additive made by Lucas to seal anything, free any sticky valves, and recondition current fluid.  Is this a common problem? any common easy fixes?  The transmission itself seems very durable it just may be electronics but im not sure.  Any Input is greatly appreciated  :)I saw the transmission info and articles on the site and there great

« on: 06 February 2007, 04:52:35 »
I was having problems with my load leveling and found that i have a leak at the connection into the left shock, it seems like its comming from the connection elbow. For the time being i have the sensor rod tied level. What are my options with fixing the leak? Can i buy a new connection elbow? or do i need to buy a new line? Thanks -Pete
