That has crossed my mind but, I'd hate to lose the boot space. It's just an ideal car. I put on eBay as an exercise in market research.

I had 1 official offer and 7 through my e-mail - some decent offers but none that I would consider worth it.

Plus, my last car was a mondeo and I was a member of an owners forum for that - even the Omega forum is far friendlier and approachable(?) than that was. I've had so much help and support - offers of practical help as well - and it all adds to the experience.

At the ripe old age of 49 I've been converted to Vauxhall.

It far exceeds the mercs have had as well, not just in trim but in understated performance.

That's interesting to know - I've decided to keep the car, I've never had a Vauxhall till this - mostly fords, peugeots, rover and the odd merc.

This car drives and handles better than them all - and she's very quick. So would like to upgrade stereo system and do a couple of bits on bodywork.

If I could only get her to do 30 mpg then it would be a match made in heaven, LOL.

Even the MPG doesn't put me off. It's a very nice car.

No - I have no speakers on the parcel shelf. It seems like they rushed a facelift through and it's got everything CID etc, but skimped on the sound system for some reason.

It's daft having only one CD slot when the car has sat nav.

Go figure??

Yes, that's the one.

Thanks for that info - I've PM'd The Boy.

Hi all

I have a facelift model on a T plate - it has the NCDR 2011, which I believe wasn't fitted as standard on UK models.

I'd like to fit a 2012 or 2013 (with multichanger) as I can't play CD's if I'm using the sat nav.

Is it possible to just remove the 2011 and insert the 12/13 or will I need to do anything else?

And does anybody know where I can get one from?

Any advice will be much appreciated

Omega General Help / Re: Facelift foglight bulbs

That makes much more sense - I'm having a problem undoing the hex screws.

Bulb changes should be much easier than dropping bumper.

In the online manual it mentions foglights but not how to replace a bulb.

Thanks for that

Cheers again everybody - I'm going to give it a go now.

Hopefully won't need to start new post entitled 'HELP - How do I put a bumper back on!!'.

That's the only downside, that I've found to owning an Omega - no instruction on how to do this. Haynes is absolutely useless - as I'm sure you all know already.

Thanks again - this is, without equal, the most helpful site I've ever been - a credit to everyone.

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to replace a foglight bulb on a facelift omega?

It doesn't tell me in the online manual - do I have to remove the bumper?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Cheers

That's not bad for a new glass - I'm off to see them.

Cheers again for everybodys help.

Hi

Thanks everybody - that's really helpful. The mirrors don't have three cups but a large circle with a corresponding one on the back of the glass and two male connectors.

I've actually put a pair of pre facelift mirrors on for now but they don't have the memory and are not colour coded. So I'd like to put the original colour coded ones back on but both need glass.

Cheers

I'll keep looking on ebay but the only facelift mirrors are up at £99 each - just seems a lot.

Hi all

Does anyone know if I can get just the mirror glass for facelift door mirrors. Previous owner broke drivers side but glued pre facelift glass to both sides. At the moment I have pre facelift mirrors on which work fine but want to put the originals back on - both are now without glass.

Please say I don't have to buy the complete mirrors.

Cheers
