Just got back from two weeks in sunny Brixham towing the caravan.

On the way only saw one Omega towing a caravan-a nice silver 3.2 Elite which I overtook.

On the site there was only one 2.2DTi saloon and on the way back I saw an estate coming the other way.

Five years ago i remember counting around ten Omegas on the one site I was staying at.

Grrrrrr im jealous as hell....we stayed in Brixham (only john fowlers sadly) couple of months back and boy o boy what a lovely place, cant wait too go back. :y

.... My guess is your both right... There is an element of "ignore it and it might go away" and indeed in some cases it does..... whatever the outcome in the grand scheme of things it will probably end up costing me something, beit a few sleepless nights or £60 & 3 points, you really cant beat the system in the long run, but a few small wins along the way help us to morally justify the defeats... the whole point of this post is to illistrate that the motorist is just another revenue stream - but the we allready know that dont we

Well not really...the camera owners will only make money from us by us ignoring the posted speed limit.

I always make it a point too drive bang on the speed limit assuming its safe too so.

Actually thats cobblers ive been down the A11 at three figures...only ive been lucky. ;D

But as i said if we keep too the speed limit then we generate no revenue for them its only when we play Russian roulette with camera"s we sometimes end up blowing our brains out. :y

« on: 30 July 2010, 17:03:37 »
Thanks for the replies.

Omegod i was looking at having same size tyres on each axle but wasnt sure if 215 front was better than rear.

Kevin its just for the MOT really...then i can pick up some tyres next wekk or two when funds allow...not sure of the speed rating. :-[

Del boy you slipped in like a cloaked ninja as i was replying too the other two guys....thanks. :y

« on: 30 July 2010, 14:44:25 »
Hi peeps.

Im looking at getting a couple of new tyres for my MOT and ive been offerd some 215/55/16"s,the wheels currently have 225/55/16 fitted.

Would there be any issues with putting the 215"s on in place of 225.

If thats ok what would be best...215"s on front with 225"s on rear or vice versa.

Much thanks

Tim

Im a security manager for reliance security and i have heard that the 48 hours is being put in place for every one no exception. The only people this will really hurt is the people that need to do more hours to survive. But it should help every one out in the long run and give people a bit of quality of life back. At my site the guys do 3 days 12 hours then 4 nights 12 hours then 3 off. Then when they come back they do 4 days 12 hours then 3 nights 12 hours then 4 off and my company classes it as a day off going from days to nights. Its a shame because alot of them have young families and most of the time look like the walking dead.

Too be fair mate they have been spouting that old chestnut for some time now...it will never happen, too many small firms would go up the wall overnight.

Im an area manager for a firm in cambridgeshire...fed up too the back treeth of the hours.

Time for a change....but what...maybe a care assistant. :-/

Same goes for cloning...we mess with things we dont truly understand, dont believe me then maybe ask Leo Szilard  :y

On my fishing forum we use a standard pre filled sheet such as the OP"s and it works.

All main points are coverd so its just a case of filling in the blanks...makes reading catch reports so much easier as there all uniform.

Skruntie well done and id like too see it put into place. :y
