The bell housing between V6 and TD is different, swap those over and all should be fine I would think.

Thanks, will try that out.

Glad mine went to a good home.

Omega General Help / 2.5td box into 3.0 litre omega
« on: 03 September 2015, 15:12:18 »
Question is will they bolt up? Ie starter.  Also what clutch and flywheel can I use?

Or will it be easier to get a manual box and setup out of a 3.0? Also would a 2.0 box and stuff fit?

Sorry for all the questions but want to try and start driffing on the cheap.

Thanks
Trev

Right update, changed the abs ecu but light is still on. Do I have to get it programmed or will it be fine, it is second hand and it came from a 2.2dti as well.

Any light on the situation would be greatly appreciated as the van is going for the yearly test and need the light and speedo working  >:( >:( >:(

Thanks

Changing the shaft didn't fix the problem  >:( >:( >:(

Checked the resistance on the sensors and they seem okay 1.5 ohms.

Could it be the abs ecu???

Hello,

I would like to find out the problem of my two front tyres being ATE away on the inside before I fit the new 17's,  I have the wheel alinement done, that's not the problem, no chamber, it's  only after happening since I changed both wishbone with new ones, pics of wheel that came off  :(

Any help I will appreciate, as I don't want to fit the mv6 wheels with new tyres until I sort this, right now I'm rolling 3 steel wheels and a gls wheel  :'(

Thanks
Trev

Well,

It's about time I update this thread.

Not alot has happened, but as I'm the busiest I have been for the first January in over 4 years, bad but good for the car, bad: not spending enough time on it, good: more money to spend on it. ;)

Any way enough talking,

We decided to get a sunroof fitted to the car, so first we got one ;)

Lined it up and cut,

Next up was to decide on what size wheels before we stripped the hubs etc. So Trevor decided to make up a template:) lol

So saw these cheap on donedeal, and couldn't resist

So after that, we wanted to strip down the hubs etc to refrub them by sand blasting and spraying them black.

Now for ME( Trevor to take over )  :)

I am looking into fitting the 3.0 L engine into this after the vrt ;) , would the 2.2 manual box do or would I need to get a different one, I also have a 2.5 diesel box, which one would be better?

As ye can see I got my way with 19's success!

How hard would it be to fit the 3.0 L ?

Must try and get a few "optional" parts for the omega ;)

That's all for now

Trevor and Mike

This thread will come in handy for fitting the satnav, just a quick one, is the BOSE the speakers in the rear shelf or in the doors?

I'm clueless about the loom?
