rear wheel bearing being done tomorrow
« on: 10 September 2012, 17:36:03 »

At a local place, also having my geometry done.

Bearing has gone from a slight noise, to bad in a couple of days, so darent leave it any longer.

£80 which I dont think is bad at all, I am supplying the bearing too.

Be interesting to see how much of a battle they have  ;D

Bet they take a tad longer than Mr Sassenach's 1 hr 40 minutes .. which included a  search for tools as well ..  :)

Estates often seem trickier for some reason

In comparrison the the first one, hell yes ;D !!!!

Reading all the posts on here though, its nearly always the estates that are problematic for some reason, can there be anything more to it that the larger bearing?

No, its luck.

Having developed 'techniques' I cant see me needing to remove an arm again.

What sort of mileage are these failing at?

Mine have done nearly 235k and are still relatively noise/play free :y How much longer could they last?
