front nearside door central locking
« on: 15 February 2017, 14:50:04 »

Hi. The FNS door thing has stopped going up and down, it tries to work sometimes but its basically dead. Ive had the door skin off and fiddled about with it and sprayed the area with wd40, it did work, i tried it several times and it looked good, I was thinking dodgy connection. I put all the door skin back on, and again its totally dead. So I think I need to change it over. How do I get it out of the door?, it looks like I have to take the whole locking system out just to get to the little slave motor, the solinoid thing.

Yes you have got to have it all out to replace the Solenoid in there, Sounds like that is your problem  :y

Inside that Solenoid is a microswitch, And that is what packs up on these  :y
