I think once you get 2 new tyres on the front your problems will be fixed.

 :y Think I might get 4 of those Kumho KU31 225/55 R16 99W XL BSW
from Mytyres  :y

I don't think you'll be disappointed mine were delivered within 3 days of ordering.

You are definitely on dodgy ground with your insurance company with the odd sizes and your insurance will not be valid with the H rated tyre.
Tyres are one of the first things they will check in the event of an accident, even if it's not your fault.

- your car handbook should indicate what size and rating of tyres is specced for your car.  It differs according to age of car (certainly pre/post facelift) and engine.    My 2.5 requires V rated so unlikely you need W on your 2.2 - but check the book.

- I concur with all the comments about compromising insurance (or worse) if using the wrong size/rating.  Not worth it.

- I think Michelins are over rated/priced.  On my 98 2.5CDX I have 4 Falkens that I paid £60 a corner for fitted last year.   If you want a more premium make I would go for Continental but these are likely over £100 each.    I have also used Kumho in the past which have been fine - I got 30k off a set on my 2.0 estate.

Cheers
Ian

Check this out:

http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/quotation/filteredresults.php

They supply,fit,balance and replace valve.
Come to a place of your choosing whether it be at home or work and all for 486.70 for a set of four Michelin - 225/55 R16 [95W] - Pilot Primacy HP.
This sounds good to me  :y

Edit:  £ 428.68 for a set of Pirelli P7's

this sounds like a lot of money to me :-/

(not for Primacy HP's but in general)
