As above. Do you actually read and digest the info in the posted replies ::)

Ah ok cool, I just thought because a friend of mine had a vx220 with the 2.2 engine in and I could have sworn he said it was a chain rather than belt.

Is this the part i'd be looking at?

Thanks

Can't be more specific - ONLY BUY A GENUINE CAM SENSOR FROM A VAUXHALL DEALER - DO NOT BUY ONE FROM AN AUTOFACTORS.

Ok firstly, I understand that I have to buy a genuine part.  I posted up a link to a part (yes I know it was for the wrong engine) but I was curious as they were claiming it was of original specification.

Secondly, I know that someone has suggested that I buy from a vauxhall dealer.....but as it happens, I have since found that autovaux sells genuine GM parts aswell.

So in short, yes I do read and digest posts on this thread (hence the reason for the post in the first place)

Yes i'm a newbie, with only 25 post to your massive almost 5k count but i'm I really causing you so much bother to prompt you to come out with a rude comment??  Umm, I do wonder!

Wind your neck in!

Thanks to others for usefull comments btw.

Don't think Rob meant any offence matt, and autovaux do sell some genuine stuff and a lot of OE (original equipment) ie stuff made to the same specification.

As has been said i really do suggest that you go to a vauxhall dealership and order the part at least then your 100% sure you have the correct GM part. OK it costs a little more but cheaper than buying the same part twice.

Will try and get the part number for you :y

No offence was meant Matt, it was a tongue in cheek remark, but it is exasperating when questions are asked, answered in the thread, then asked again ;)

Thanks mate

Autovaux are quoting £63.18 and claim it is genuine GM part.

Will see how much vaux are coming out at (see if its the same as Rob listed earlier)

Ideally, I want it for this weekend but if I am lucky enough to use somebodies trade discount I guess i'll be pushing it for the weekend.

Nothing like a bit of forward planning ::)
