2.2 fault code
« on: 14 May 2012, 12:08:24 »

Just put my Maxiscan code reader on a forum member's 2.2 Omega ..... occasional EML. It came up with P1781 which isn't on the list with the paper clip test, but the reader shows "CAN data bus, ECM actual torque signal - malfunction detected"   ??? ??? ??? ???
What's that mean in English?  :-\ :-\

As Jimbob says, Code is non-specific to the 2.2 but does on occasion mask the impending 0340

Hello sir, my name is Gibby, I've Omega 2.2l Z22XE, 3 weeks ago my omega gave all sorts of problems, and when diagonised on the code reader, it had lots of codes & one of them was PO1781. After changing the camshaft sensor all codes disappeared. So I would suggest to check the camshaft sensor.
