Enjoy!

Its a fair learning curve.

I suggest a good book or 2, or a couple of copies of Practical Photography or similar to help you on your way  :y

I've been thinking about getting an SLR for ages now, and I think i've found one which should be ok!

Just wondered what you chaps thought about this, and its value for money etc...

Its an Olympus e510

Thanks in advance!  :y

Nearly bought one of these (or it's predecessor) last year - couldn't afford it in the end.  I've been using Olympus SLR film cameras for over 30 years, and my wife has a 4 year old Olympus 4mp compact digital which takes better pictures than my 8mp Fuji which is less than a year old.

Can't go wrong with Olympus.

Still got an OM1n with a 28mm F2.8 lens in my bag for landscapes. It takes damn good pictures. But it also gets in my way a whole lot more than my Nikon D80 does.

Those old Zuiko lenses are fantastic, it has to be said. Shame the 4/3 system doesn't take them.
