Before tasting it, just check that next doors cat/dog/whatever has not been hiding under there and left a little 'present'.... :o

Solved!!
Had cam belt changed this PM and they found the a/c drain channel blocked  only allowing some water to escape
On clearing trapped water gushed out and all seems well(dangerous to say this but have faith!!! )
Interesting though and NO water on the drive
