Drivers seat airbag connector
« on: 23 July 2008, 13:55:13 »

As some of you are aware, ive been getting error 77 drivers side airbag resistance high errors.

To begin with cheapo tech2 cleared em no problem, but they started getting more and more frequent, and became unclearable.

Real tech2 along with Mark and Jaime traced the fault to the connector in the seat back.

If wiggled would change the resistance, and the lamp could then be turned out.

Time before last, Disconencted the battery, connector on and off a few times, reassembled and all was well.

Until yesterday :(  turned 120000 on the clock and airbag light came back on.

Wiggled the connector, light off, start the car again, light back on.

So

We know what the problem is, but any suggestions on a slightly more permanent fix?

Cheers

Its the early type where the plug is integral to the airbag......not to sure about getting heat into that bit!
