I don't think the quality of it is that good, so not sure I could recommend it.

I think its similar to the Clarke one from Machinemart, and I know the quality of of the 300pc Clarke one is not good (Clarke Pro stuff is much better, though I still think Halfords Pro is better quality)

Saying that, the 150pc Halfords Pro socket set is now £199 :o (though currently half price at £99), and it ain't worth £200, no way.

Though, say that, I have 2 of them ::)

You'll need a good selsction of Torx sockets for the Omega. Not sure how many of the kits include them. :-/ Halfords pro kit does.

If you have to add bits to the kit, you may as well buy a couple of ratchets, a couple of bars of sockets and a box and add as necessary IMHO. Depends if you're starting from nothing or already have bits IMHO.

The Halfords pro red tool chests are good, IMHO, but don't include any tools.

Yup, I think that at £100, the Halfords 150pc pro makes a good 'base' to start from, covering all metric sizes from 5(?)mm up to 22mm, plus one or 2 larger, as most deep sockets from around 6mm to 19mm (though missing 18mm).  And lifetime warranty (though small print says doesn't cover rachets).

At £200, its better to build a set from scratch - my tool chest is made up of a selection of Clarke Pro sockets and Halfords Pro sockets, Clarke 72 teeth rachets (I like these), Halfords Pro combo rachet spanners, Draper Expert screwdrivers, Halfords Pro extention bars and socket adapter.  Probably came to more than £200, but more comprehensive.
