Got the fright of my life goin to work the other day, just driving along the M62 to do my night shift when all of a sudden WHOOOOSH!!!! I wondered what the hell was goin on, looked around all windows still intact, then looked up, the sunroof was open I hadn't touched it, dial still as was?? Its done it again today aswell, I turned on the ignition, started up and within about 2 miles of driving, it opened again!!! (No one told this car it was raining today   )

Anyone any ideas why? or do I have a poltergeist in my car

Ah yes, the old 'phantom sunroof' again. Common issue, which just occurred recently on mine. There is a guide to cleaning the switch in an attempt to cure it. Hasn't worked for me so I'll have to give it another go.
It is a little scary though when it happens

Have you changed or disconnected the battery recently, if so the sunroof needs re-syncing. Push and hold the button in each position of the roof until it clicks.

Not sold by GM on it`s own Jason, comes with motor

Not cheap then I suppose  I might try to clean it first & see if it cures it, if not I'll just pull the plug on it, the air-cons freezing anyway, it just been re-filled, I don't tend to use the s/roof anyway.

"Phantom roof" problem isn't related to the battery being disconnected and the roof needing to be reset.
