Sunroof with a mind of its own
« on: 04 April 2012, 10:30:06 »

Morning all,

My 1996 2.5V6 CD has a electric sunroof which opens and closes all on its own at completely random times,  in all weathers too!

I have tried the reset procedure numerous times but it does not always remember it. I am assuming the black control box alongside the window motor is showing its age, probably got senile dementure I guess. I could replace the box but you lads may have a cheaper solution.  Any thoughts?

If that doesn't work, try checking this thread:

Had the same problem, take the switch out and clean with contact cleaner, works well :y
