I would say Uniroyal Rainsport 2's but I haven't got experience of the SC's on the Omega.

I'm plenty happy with either performance wise.

PS3's. But then again some people might have a fit if I mention them.
Its OK, I'm taking deep breaths ;D

PS3 are quite good when first fitted, then become like driving on ice.  I will concede, despite poor lateral grip when worn a bit, they have stonking stopping power in a straight line.

Not sure Sport Maxx TT are for you chrisgixer, due to noise and durability - my rears did around 11k. If you reckon nearly 30k from SC3s....

20k at the most, although I'm not sure my notes are correct.

I'm in a similar predicament. What to put on TBE. I'm not as anal as gayboy, so roadnoise isn't a problem, but agree with his other tyre complaints

GY F1 assym 2's? Seem to get really good reviews. No personal experience but the assym 1's were pretty good on my BMW.

My old 3.2 had them on when I got it. Grip didn't seem to good, although they where at the end of thier life tbh.

Was going to say, I rarely get more than a year out of anything (18k) and SC3s were no better than SportMaxx (non-TT) for me.

Decided not to go down the £100+ a corner route last time, so tried a couple of budget offerings. N6000s on the rear and General UHPs on the front. UHPs currently slightly ahead on noise as well as grip, although they are both quite reasonable IMHO.

:o

Even with tunnie driving, I could feel these were a bit lively :o. Probably had a few hundred miles on them.

Yup got N6000's here, quite happy with noise levels after Falkens. Suit my driving, but those with digital throttle pedals which are either on or off, might not find them sufficient.

Wheels with sc3's re fitted, as the Falken shod wheels have gone off to be refurbed.

Measuring the two tyres in Leptons...

Sc3's driven at a comfortable speed, look at Lepton gauge. 1300 Leptons showing
Falkens at comfortable speed, look at Lepton gauge. 850 Leptons showing.

Conclude, Sc3's almost twice as stable as Falkens, and are not that much noisier.
Sc3's are the tyres I'm looking for. I will learn to be happy with tyres that work. :y

I think SC3's will be the way I'm going in the not too distant future ;)

Grip on a 245 wide sc3 far exceeds that of a 265 wide Falken 452, and will last longer.

Or, to look at it another way, if anyone ever wanted a self imposed Lepton limit, fit Falkens. ;D

Suspect even Dunlops might be quieter.... :-\

Earplugs? Trip to a couple of heavy metal concerts? ;)

But er.. definitely not the Neutons. Thought something had gone wrong when I put them back on after the UG8s :-[

Must admit, I've not been impressed by them ::) Just hope they (and the Alpha's on the front) will last out until I have done the suspension work and had the set up done :-\

Also run Alpha's on the front quiet enough -- got Enduro's on the back like driving a bloody steam roller would not recommend.  :-[ ??? ??? :y :y
