  after all this time, we start agreeing Tunnie. ................although I think Rosberg is a very good driver tbh.Potential champion in the right car imo.
His dad was a mighty driver,as brave as they come. His lap of the old silverstone on a track which wasnt completely dry in 1985 was staggering.He averaged over 160mph, a record which stood for about 20 years.
He finished the lap,got out of the car and sparked up a rothmans.How times have changed.
He won the championship in 82 even though he only won one race that year. Cant ever remember it happening before or since,although 82 was a very strange year in F1. Ferrari had actually produced a genuinely quick car for the first time in a few years and Villenueve was expected to win the title. He was killed in Belgium so the expectation then fell on his (treacherous) team mate Pironi. He had the mother of all accidents at Hockenheim which ended his career,so Rosbergs steady run of podiums and single win meant he ended up as champion.

Shumi caused a huge accident crashing into the back of Senna at extremely high speed, all down to driver error. Could have caused a serious incident, tyre flying off and hitting someone? Its possible, its happened before.

Hardly 'extremely high speed'. Well, maybe it is for you. But turn 1 is a signifcant braking area.

Maybe, just maybe, he swerved and hit him head on to avoid wheels flying off, knowing it was already too late to avoid collision, and went for the safest option.

Yeah its a braking area, something Shumi clearly forgot.

He's not "having a go" though, he was miles back. Kobayashi, Vettel, did far, far more impressive over-taking in corners not associated with over-taking.

He ain't so stupid that he would purposely put himself out (in this specific instance). He clearly thought he had a chance, and went for it, but hit the roadblock caused by the stupid "artifical overtake" rules. Remember, Senna swerved twice, something people seemed to not be picking up on.

Undoubtedly a misjudgement by Shithead Schu, but I praise him for having a go, rather than jumping on the popularist banwagon.  He isn't my favourite character, but I admire his determination to improve, even if his current talent/car/package causes that to elude him.

And only he knows how his car handles, when hard on the brakes, maybe he was a passenger himself

Clearly you are failing to understand that Senna's tyres were shot to bits, thus having to brake probably 20m early. That to me offers opportunity. However artifical the opportunity is due to pathetic rules. Any hint of opportunity should be fully exploited, else you end up with losers like Button and Tim Henman.

Again, due to the stupid rules, setup is always a compromise.

Rosberg will never be a World Champion, unless he gets a break like Button did. Unlikely that will happen again anytime soon.

I always rated Webber above Vettel, but results show otherwise.



As an aside, I'd drop the concept of points, and World Champion decided on total races won. Might make the overpaid gays try to win at all costs.
