Temp gauge incorrect readings...
« on: 29 May 2012, 14:51:03 »

Hi there,

I have just purchased my first Omega and I am chuffed to bits at the amount of car and gadgets I got for my money.
One of the things that I would like to fix up first is that the temperature display is reading at least 40c above the actual temperature...

Has anyone come across this before or know how this could be resolved at all?

Thanks in advance for your help

.... the temperature display is reading at least 40c above the actual temperature... ........

Engine temp or ambient?
Engine temp sensor is right at the back of the engine & has a single blue wire on it (cue RobG ::) ). New sensor I would think.
Ambient temps sensor is on te lower edge of the front valence (nearside for preface lift, centre for facelift) and a sensor is only around £6. (Facelift cars seem to suffer from a dodgy connection in the loom to the sensor too ;))

Thanks for that Andy.
It is indeed the outside temperature display that is not displaying correctly so I will have a look at the sensor as you mentioned.

Cheers   :)
