i know i deffo wont touch a jag, the autos suffer premature box faling.then the v6 seems to be having engine issues, just look on fleabay its littered with them as spares or repair, wonder if someone fancies a chalange of fitting a mig engine and box in one lol
The Ford era gearboxes, provided by Ford, are chocolate. Esp in V8 trim.

Until such time as something suitable tickles my fancy, and is practical, I shall just have to keep the Omegas going :)

I've still got my Omega (well, at least today - MOT time tomorrow!), but this year have also aquired my sons Audi A8. I'm really impressed with it and would definitely recommend.

On my mind as well but will get as much as I can out of my 2 migs and don't mind spending a bit to achieve it. If it takes a modest amount to keep it going and roadworthy then no brainer  :-* . Better than spending 3,4 or 5K on a replacement that I wont like as much   :y

Current thought, as I use my estate everyday for my work as well as pleasure, Is a Merc E Class estate, seems to be comparable is size although dont know much else about them  :-\

Otherwise it's a Volvo V70 and from what i've seen I don't particularly like them :(

yep.. Volvos are good cars but they dont attract me also.. something wrong with them.. although comfy , robust and reliable cars, they are not attractive.. too much mechanic feeling when you are inside.. :-\

Got any experience of the E class Cem ?

nothing wrong with them except their astronomic prices here :-\

look at the price ..around 25K Euros :(

Can easy pay £25k - £35k here for a newish one Cem, but around £2k - £4k for a 10 yr old which isnt bad really if thay are in reasonable condition

Does anyone know how the seats fold down - is it nice and flat like the mig estate ?

Not Keen on the XJ's they look proper old-man automobile, But this imo has style and elegance with a bit of a funky side with huge 400bhp power plant on tap..

I'm the same, I can't think of anything thats on the road just know that I would consider as a replacement for the Omega.
I recently bought a 2.0 CDTI Vauxhall Insignia SRI Nav Tourer in Black, it's a good car but no Omega replacement!!
