I assume you're going down the east coast. If you change you mind and go down the M6 I could take a turn.

Just looked on the Map, a long time since I used to go to Wolverhampton on a regular basis, guess it would be A1 - M62 - M6

Is towing it the most practical idea, I don't have a tow car. Need to think about this and need to look at the mileage.

As far as I know you're REQUIRED to use a straight/rigid bar on a motor way & you're only allowed to use a rope to tow some one to the next junction & off.

I've missed this post so don't know what the problem is. Being a southerner living up north & a truck driver i know the routes/roads.
I can borrow a Disco & trailer if need be.

Amigo

The problem is to get Kates poorly motor from Sunderland to Shifnal.

Its been diagnosed as a HG .. but several of us think oil-cooler - and is losing water too fast to drive...

I think that sums it up .. :)

Amigo, you could have the answer, but you can not describe yourself as a northerner, you live in the south.
Kate needs to get her car to the midlands, to whoever is best to fix it, a trailer would be the best option. :)

Read again. I'm a southerner living in the North. Smack in between Co. Durham ( A1 ) & Doug's yard @ Shifnall, west of Brum A5 or M54 to Telford & i've been there. All i'd need is diesel money.
My Gaffer will lend me his trailer & my mate his Disco. Can also bring spansets to secure the car.
Weekends only but happy to help if need be. 8-)
