hi all have looked on the serch section and no one seems to have quite the same problem as me so here goes the air con fan one infront of the rad seems to be on all the time when the egnition is switched on can get hot and cold air from heater air con has never been that good problem started arfter i fitted a new alternator or shortly arfterwards have tried to reset aircon by pressing auto and off button(did this with egn turned on)didnt get a buzz what happened was heater fan came on ran through all speeds air blew through all thew different vents and then stayed on turned off and air con fan still running only turns off when key turned off any help please as dont want to burn the fan out thanks

lazy relay located in underbonnet fuse/relay box - 20 quid from vauxhall.

Why post exactly the same here as you have already posted in Eletrical help.  the reason dbug for posting the same in two different places is that as im sure you know some people keep well away from elec problems but do have the knowhow and the expereance to help so by posting in two threads i hoped to get twice as much help and as it now seems this is what has happened with two different lines to go down . i dont post to upset or offend but to help and get help from others .
