Nokia are idiots. They had the whole Mraket in their hands and they blew it.
Why? Because they thought they couldn't be touched, and with no competition, at the time, thought it was ok to dump half arsed, incomplete, rubbish operating systems on their customers and have them develop out the million bugs for them. The only time a phone was usable was just before the next phone was released which instantly halted development, in favour of the new model.
Apple and others that followed, walked in, did a less advanced job, but it worked. No crashing. Barely any bugs. To this day crApple can't compete with, for one example, the blutooth functionality Nokia had 15 years ago. But what good is that if your Nokia crashes half way through every other time it's used.
IMO crApple are the equivalent of BMW. So you can imagine the pain I went though with Nokias last disaster the n900 which was the alleged replacement for the n95, that made me bin Nokia for the "Enemy".
The original IPhone was not even close to a smart phone by Nokia standards. Still isn't really. But the iPhone won't loose your data, your posts, texts and apps into thin air under normal basic use.
How I never smashed that n900 into a million pieces i will never know. And I'd happily own another Symbian device, IF it's proved to work reliably. But there is zero chance of that. Zero! IMO.
