freeview question
« on: 11 September 2012, 14:38:35 »

I have got a tv with built-in freeview in my bedroom but I haven't got it connected to an ariel. what I want to know is, is there a way via a adaptor I can get to work on there via wifi or would I need a freeview box with wifi connection.

it dosent work with an indoor ariel as I live in a crap area and I haven't got one on roof either. I use virgin in lounge but don't want to pay for extra box. cheers ian

do you want to use it at the same time as the virgin box?  if not, then why not try a scart transmitter / receiver and beam the virgin box upstairs?

that said, you could do the same with a freeview box...buy one and put it where you have an aerial point, get a transmitter and connect it up, some of them also send remote control codes.

Wont be as quite as good a picture quality, but may be enough for your needs.

Sadly no, last time I could get half price on extra packs you add, but its only for new customers only.

I know, I know. We keep asking for current customers, 1TB boxes for example.

I fell out with Sky when they took over BSB, had a lot of friends that lost there jobs.

I was kind of lucky, as was thinking of joining BSB myself at the time.

Is it true the virgin boxes on ebay are just door stops once removed from the original property?

Like Sky, they have cards which are coded to the box & the subscription.
