Hi every one, espesially to paullovejoy and marie, this is  Michaels wife! thanks for all your help and advice, poor Michael has had to put up with me going barmy about this for months, and yes marie he did give me that cuddle and said things will be ok, i just thought i was in control and could take her on, but she has dug the knife in, in her last attempt to really get us, we just feel like every thing we try to do to backfires, and she is always that one step a head. maybe its just luck on her side, she has no solicitor, and like our solicitor has told us, why should she?she has got what she wanted, and will plead poverty, we just going round in circles. we partly blame ourselves when she started her build, we were on good terms then, and let them put their scaffolding in our drive blocking some of what was later to be revealed, but at the time Michael was recovering from cancer and having his bladder removed, receiving chemo, and was sleeping a lot, he told me last night if he hadnt been poorly he would have spotted earlier what the builders were doing by bringing her build further out, but we had no reason to keep checking it we trusted her to do what was on her first set of plans, and building regs man told me last week he knew it was wrong and told her builders to run it past the council again, but they never did, until we realised what she had done.

Your more than welcome, I am only sorry i could not be of more help but sometimes its good to just get things off your chest.

I do hope you do not take down your build after all the hard work to date. Easy to say but maybe you both need a short break from it all and come back refreshed and maybe a simple solution i hope will be found.

Michael has just caught her out the front and asked when are you going to remove guttering. reply. never. you work round it!  i heard her gob and looked out the window, she said i was dead meat, so sorry to say i went out and told her exactly what i thought of her, after all the trouble this has caused, 8months of holding it in, she also said i will get the police, Michael said get who you want, get the army if you want! should i call the police? she made the threat in front of the builders!i feel betternow i said what i think, but the problem still their . help!

Just have a word with the builders first and get your storys straight first.
At the end of the day, the builders will want to finish the job so they can get paid so I can't see a problem with them not helping.

Venting is good although not such a good idea at her though.

I would call the police and have it logged and not let them take any action... just yet. Ask your builder if hes happy to make a statement if he is i would call the police. its better to have it on file for a later day if you need it. Plus its all evedence if you need it at a later date. Hopefully not.

Micheal shouldnt feel bad about not noticeing what she had done while he was ill i know times are hard when finding out you have the big C went through it in 2010 with the hubby so i understand what you personally went through MRS M.

Please look at what i have suggested you do.

But most most of all STAND TALL AND DONT DROP TO HER LEVEL.

it will be right might not be an easy run but it will be worth it in the end.

Top tip do not discuss the incedent with them, if your stories are too simular they will know you have talked it over. peoples accounts of an incedent always vary slightly and if they are identical something is wrong.

well i phoned my ex neighbour who is an ex policeman and he said just sit tight, it a threat, but if it turns to where she does something, well thats different. never thought we would have to endure something like this with someone so devious! i always been type of person who could get on with anyone. we have decided to finish the build, oh we have to alter the plans, just ran it threw with building regs man and he come up with a way round it, so i suppose she has won. Then we sell it, dont put forsale sign up, take first offer, we cant have Michaels mam living in a war zone, she not in best of health. we have a house sorted out what we looked at when we first had our house up for sale last year, it a beauty and massive! with plenty en suites to suit our two daughters needs, they will never bloody leave home! 19 and 23 year old!just want a peacefull life after all we went threw with michael.  And thanks Marie your a star! when we get sorted and more relaxed i will  PM YOU! and you can tell me about what you went threw with your hubby,and hope everything ok. Michael has check ups and doc said they got it all out. we can do without the stess, and we cant live next door to her any longer than we have to. will keep you all up to date with things, and remember marie i will contact you. thanks
