Complete and total waste of money.

I have never smoked and never wanted to.

Just think of the waste of money.

All them patches and gum are no good, you are trying to get rid of the addiction of nicotine and pumping it into your body through patches is not going to stop you wanting a fag the only way to do it is cold turkey and will power as simple as that!!!! :y

Gave up at christmas - cold turkey is the only way to go, i did it and so can you with willpower willpower willpower :y

Trick is to really want to give up, not to use a lack of opportunity to smoke because then all you're doing is testing how long you can deprive yourself, you need to think more along the lines of i don't need to smoke because i don't want to smoke and it's not even nice when i do. AND IT'S KILLING ME AND THOSE AROUND ME :'(

end of sanctimonious rant - but honestly i'm trying to encourage you because YOU CAN DO IT :y

Good luck  :)

they're sitting silent to test your will power, if you get bored you might light up :D

I'm happy to have never smoked

apart from once at primary school when someone set my hair on fire

Best of luck Marie  :y you will probably find that the first few days willbe easier than you think because your resolve will still be strong. I disagree with a previous post patches can "take the edge" off it but I suppose it is what suits you. Patches can be obtained free from your local smoking cessation clinic . On the positive side I think there has never been an easier time to stop smoking with all the restrictions now in place especially the pub, now more temptation when going for a beer.
