Just to chuck in my 50p worth !
The Sainsburys here in Wrexham ,the air and water (no added screen wash) is still free!
 But invariably you have to wait a few minutes to use it , also seems to be accurate most times.

We also have a dislike of most supermarkets,very rarely use tesco, the local school runs a food co-op where each week you can collect a bag of veg(in season) or a bag of fruit all sourced locally,all non profit(except for the supplier obviously) and the kids get to sort all the bags out so get hands on with all the different types of fruit and veg.Some kids these days have no perception as to where food actually comes from!

Maybe it's a Sainsburys thing then, free air and water here too, reasonable fuel prices and nectar points. Asda has the cheapest fuel in town, Tesco is the dearest supermarket for fuel and charges for air, and Morrisons is in between on price but has a good reward scheme.
