Car Insurance
« on: 28 April 2008, 09:14:55 »

Just phoned my car insurance regards something Lizzie mentioned in annother thread  about buying a new car and maybe getting 14 days cover on the old for selling purposes.

The new car a 3.0 Elite is now cheaper than the 2.5 GLS insurance taken out in December.£279 (Elite) £226 (GLS)

They dont do extended cover but will happily offer all the benefits of my full NCD on the 2nd policy. Plus all cover benefits.

Suits me  :D :D

Was rather impressed to be honest, thought they would have jumped at the chance not to pass on the bonus.

Works out a darn site cheaper than a certaincompanys multicar insurance.

I had an accident years ago when a woman stalled going onto a roundabout and i hit the back of her wont go into it all but it was her fault even tho i hit her explained story to insurance company and they said we cant show on paper work that you have ncb but we will give you the price as if you do. Which i thought was fantastic.

Might have turned 47 yesterday but I feel like a 10 year old at the moment with the best ever new toy.  Sad really.

Had a Brand New Astra GTE on Aug 1st (B Plate) and 8 Months later got rid (Wrong wheel drive ( HATED it, Car kool but FWD = no no)  bought a Brand new Sylvia Turbo.  But neither made me feel like the feeling of having my 1st Elite.

Elite is fine, cant find fault with it apart from a nick in the paint work.

There is a pump/fan noise coming from the from, the guy said it does it on start up and switch off for 5/10 seconds.

I thought it might be the selfleveling pump, but my mate had a vectra and it sounds like the noise his was making, he replaced it and it still made the same noise.  It came to that it was some sort of fan than was something to do with cold satrting or something.

Maybe someone knows the true reason of the pump/fan noise.
