I have plenty of old/new newspapers and clean good quality microfibre cloths, I don't have any J-Cloths and cant say i've heard of them...

Blue & off-white checker pattern cloths usually used for cleaning your kitchen/bathroom/etc.. if you have an other half, there's probably a pack lurking under the kitchen sink ;)

I also have the same problem. Tried all sorts of methods to clean the glass as well as changing the wiper blades. Now thinking it could actually be the wiper arms themselves, not holding the blade tight enough to the glass to get a good wipe. Just a thought really.

If it's waxes (esp. synthetic) then acetone should shift it - acetone the windscreen (carefully!) and put new blades on.. if acetone didn't shift it, I can't see it being contamination on the screen..

I've tried copying the motion the wiper's do with my bare hands and clean cloths and these annoying blurry blotchy marks still appear....  :(  Just hope it stops raining as much as it has been recently as its making driving the Omega very unlovable and dangerous (when its raining)..

I've been told in the past that over time the wipers will leave tiny deposits of rubber on the screen which will affect the clarity of the screen.  :-\
The solution was to scrub the screen with a soft pot scourer (the ones with the sponge) and meths.  Then get a new set of wipers.  :)

To get rid of wax, grease etc on screen try Bar Keepers Friend. It has an abrasive action but won't scratch your screen. Use with a damp microfibre cloth, rinse well with hose and dry with newspaper and microfibre cloth for final buff. Works for me.
