low beam fld vision - vectra cdx
« on: 06 February 2013, 23:29:33 »

hi all, just wondered how many of you omega owners have had "low beam fld vision" in your check control displays and what it took to correct it ? i have this messgae on my cdx vectra, headlights work fine, the go up and down aswell, however if im parked still at night a can see both lights make adjustments for no reason, im told that this is a generic ecu response and can mean auto leveling has failed, bulb on the way out or ballast on the way out. i checked the levelling sensor on the front wishnbone today and thought i had cracked it but not so sure...the arm that links to the two small ball joints was very loose at one end and i could just slide it right of the ball joint but to be fair it wasnt hanging of in the first place so unsure if this is at fault or not. the rear sensor seems nice and tight. any input appreciated

cheers

Welcome to the forum

A proper code reader will tell you specifically what the car is complaining about. A common fault on an Omega with this fault message, is a faulty front wish bone sensor.

Either faulty wishbone sensors, faulty lift motors, or (as in my case on the Elite Estate), a broken wire in loom between front sensor & lift motor. ;)

And welcome to the forum mate  :y
