Iirc last time he did it,it was wet and he was still almost as quick as everyone else had been ? If its dry I think he will beat Vettel easily.Hes naturally a quicker driver imo.

Have to agree there, quite a wet track. Also think a car they had blew its diff, Clarkson saying there was oil over track too.

Its a good test, same car, same track hopefully same conditions  :)

A Monaro, if memory serves?  :-\

Sounds right, I remember a jibe towards Mark Webber too  :-\

Nope, it was the VXR8 (hence the jibe at Webber, as it's basically an Australian Holden)  :y

I've got the original episode kept on my sky planner.  ::)

Just watched it.First half was excellent - Clarkson almost admitted to liking a Vauxhall,a little bit of Eric Clapton playing guitar, and Hamilton blitzing the record.Doesnt get much better.
The rugby thing was shite, did it before with football, shows they are really running out of ideas. The road test of some little mexican car - why ?

Nice to see Hamilton top of the leader board. I wonder if Vettel will come back and try to beat the time? It would be nice to see a few other top drivers too.

I agree the rugby was totally boring. Just a "free" commercial for Cee'd's's

The rugby thing was worse than boring. It annoys me that all those virtually new cars were bashed about in the name of light entertainment. Except it wasn't. Oh and how it dragged on. Pitiful. TG is stale and well beyond its sell by date

I watched it until Lewis had done his lap then, once I heard about rugby with cars, turned over. Worth watching for the first half hour or so.

Lewis' lap... Superb :y Proves he is a good driver when on a level playing field ;)

The rugby... Mildly amusing but what a shame to wreck the cars, although fair play to Kia for supplying them for the advertising :y But what a shame to trash Twickers :o :o

It does seem that TG are running out of things to do though, which is a shame

Could hardly believe my ears, praise for a Vauxhall! That must have hurt them. But why are Ford bothering to do a Right hand drive Mustang for over here only to lumber it with a 2.0litre Ecoboost engine?

Nice to see Clarksville stubbornly admit a Vauxhall is good. As for the rest of the show i think the phrase scraping the barrel comes to mind.

Watched this last night - the car rugby bit was a waste (and they've done it before with a different shaped ball); I guess they're scraping the barrel of reusable ideas now..

Still, the segment on the hot hatches was good - even prompted my other half to ask if we'd get better mpg out of one of those and would I like one.. the answers being yes and yes, but not at £26,000!
