No sat nav signal after lpg install
« on: 25 February 2013, 12:02:10 »

Right all I can think is I've disturbed something while doing lpg. Radio reception hasn't changed just no satellite reception. Things I've done. Removed traffic master box and switch and i had rear shelf out. Any ideas?

Had radio out, or tugging on wiring behind it?

If so, *IF* you're really lucky, nav aerial may just have dislodged from cage. If so, get a lotto ticket.  More likely the shitty GM wiring is as predictable as always. Strip the plug, centre core of coax would have come adrift. Resolder. Bit fiddly.

Not disturbed the stereo apart from unplugging the traffic master above the peddles. Could it be anything to do with the aerial amp under the rear shelf? Just wondering like

Aerial cable for Nav runs from base of antenna on roof via a blue plug and socket about 2 inches from aerial base, down C pillar, along the plastic sill cover via a join in the multiplug at the kickpanel and then in the loom around the bulkhead area and into the back of the Headunit.

Indeed. Can't see anywhere OP would have disturbed it  :-\

Yep that's a possibility. For some reason removing the rear shelf on this car is a right arse job.  :y

There's definitely a nack to it.  ;)
