Mondeos were frequently company cars used as work horses everyday over high mileage; I know because (briefly) I am ashamed to say I had such a company car (after having Carlton's) and hated it :'( :'(!!

I had 1 Cavalier 2.0 and 3 Vectra 2.0 that all went back with over 150K on them after their three years!

My Cavalier's and Carlton's did that type of mileage in no more than two years, with indeed a 2.0 CD version of the latter doing 148k in 18 months travelling across the UK! :y

Blimey - I make that at least 5 hours a day, EVERY day sitting in a car, if you averaged 50mph.  more like 12 if you exclude weekends and did 30 average  - hope you had some good tapes Lizzie!

Is the 1 working and headlight and 1 missing brakelight also mandatory?

Ooh! That reminds me. SWMBO has 1 working headlight.  :-[

She's obviously not driven in the dark this week or she'd have nagged reminded me.

The state of some cars is appauling. Owners seem to take no care to ensure they are driving a safe vehicle. I followed a Megane last night and it looked like the earth points on both rear light clusters had come adrift. There was a vague flickering glow from all of the lights whenever something was being signalled but impossible to tell what!

I guess the only time these cars are at an acceptable standard is on the day of their MOT. >:(

SNAP Must get it sorted this weekend, light nights and she forgets, though it will be my fault. ;D ;D ;D
