Few others on here have tried it when I brought a bottle to the cambelt party, went down with mixed reactions.

If it's nice, why have you got a bottle in the cuboard? surly it's better in a glass and being enjoyed. :y :y :y

The first Welsh whisky distillery was actually built at Frongoch, near Bala.....it had an interesting history as a distillery and later the site was used to house the Irish Republicans captured and interned by the British Govt. during the 1916 Easter uprising....later the distillery became a P.O.W 'camp' for captured German and Italian prisoners.

The site of the distillery is close to the National White-Water Rafting Centre; on the outfall of Llyn Celyn (Holly Lake) just outside Bala.

Did any body read the national papers, last week I think, the Japs are making the best Whisky at the mo  ::) It was voted the best in the world, no bad for a county that only started doing it about 10/15 yrs ago.  ;)
