im thinking about a trip to wim but i have some queries ,
1. would it be a good idea to have new rubber all round first
2. would it throw the geometry out if i were to change wheel size after it was done, basically if i were to put standard wheels on for the geometry and then put my 18" s on would it throw it out

It's not important to have new rubber fitted before having the geometry done. However, changing the will size will throw out the setup as ~I'm pretty sure they have to input the wheel size when they start the setup. :)

If your tyres are unevenly worn, ie-inside edge knackered then yes you will need to change them as this will through out the camber, as this is done weight on wheels ;)
