So it's more than likely the prehistoric computer then :'(  Oh well it's served me well. I must admit it was brought out of retirement about 2 years ago when I seperated from the ex ::)

Old'ish computer should really effect internet speed, if its running sluggish, probably just needs a good clean up and get rid of any unnecessary Start Up programs and Apps.

Download looks ok (for Plusnet), but upload looks a bit low ;)

As said clear history, caches and temp files ;)

CCleaner is good, I use it once a month, you could also try this one Pete.

http://www.iobit.com and download advanced System Care 6 the free version

Never used it myself but an IT Manager I know swears by it.

My advice is if you download it put all the shortcuts in a folder on Desktop or somewhere, then delete any start ups for it using CCleaner / Tools / Start Up, to stop it on any reboot and use it as and when.

If you need registry and system cleaners, you're in that place where you have to rebuild. ESP with XP that doesn't cope too well with the aging process.
