Yes. Some people have a knack of making fairy stories sound so matter-of-fact.

Still laughing at TB's encounter with two fat slags  ;D ;D ;D ;D

The simple fact is those fat slags in question should be working. Working may also help them lose weight. And give them a sense of purpose instead of being fat. And slaggish. And not make working people pay for their fat offspring.

For me vouchers is the answer. Reasonable allowances in the form of vouchers for food from Asda/Tesco etc, same for clothes from the same outlets, vouchers for electricity, gas and similar for housing.Anything more than that should come from gainful employment imo.
I would be happy enough for people who have a long history of work behind them but have lost their jobs to have a bit more, but for the career benefits people - vouchers and only vouchers. No money involved whatsoever.

You forgot the vouchers for the fags. The slags in Bletchley need their fags. And Lotto tickets.

Good idea but, of course, it wouldn't work. Vouchers are currency, just as money, and a black market would be up and running in no time.
You need to start looking at things from a scousers point of view, Albs. ;D

The reason they couldn't/ wouldn't differentiate between people or couples earning above 50K when they took away child benefit was that it was too much trouble and would cost more than it saved.
Work it out.

Kev you know i understand your situation the same as you do mine , im sure things will get sorted for the best . Many people dont understand unless they have been forced into a situation out of their control , its a very unfair system for the vulnerable and weak with key helpful services being cut to get that help  >:( Cutting the services that provide help is also a big issue and one that i feel has been overlooked OR the government has planned this so we cant get help . Local CAB have a 6 week waiting list for appointments and they are snowed under trying to sort out this mess the government has created  >:(

ozzycat,
You are so wrong with that last post, I have stated all along that those in need deserve a decent standard of living. You have contributed to this so called welfare system and through no fault of your own have found it lacking when you need the support.
I can't see anyone refering to you as a retard, or a scrounger you are deserving of a system that you paid into for a time of need but can't get it because of the professional scroungers faking illness, womb for benefits, immigrants or addiction who should be given a very basic allowance to live on.
You do contribute to society in fact you make a worthy addition to this forum and I for one don't pity you, although I feel sorry for the predicament you find yourself in :y :y :y
