xenon bulb
« on: 02 April 2013, 09:02:24 »

Hi,
right xenon on omega 2.6v6 2002 stop working  >:(
Do I have to take off headlight to change the bulb?
What type of bulb is fitted?
I presume that the original is pretty expensive, and thinking about buying from Ebay...
Thanks

Assume to have HIDs - if so you want DS2 bulb.

Bit tight access but ok to change without removing light unit - allow 1/2 hour from swithching off lights/ignition before starting, undo 3 x torx screws on back, and pop bulb out.   :y

D2s bulb

Philips were standard fit on those, I paid £61.99 recently from autobulbsdirect 3 weeks ago for a pair.

Hi It is better to take the unit off the car as it is very tight and the plastic crappy adjusters will probably break  >:( so be very careful and try not to use alot of pressure otherwise you will be taking headlight unit off and either replacing it or the adjusters inside.  ::)

Replaced 2 on my old Elite and 1 on the old Estate - all without removing light units - as said a bit tight but not a problem.
