Has the weather changed .... ?  :)
« on: 11 May 2008, 23:57:50 »

Methinks global warming must have hit OOF....  :)

Well judging by the sudden large number of Air Con threads in "General Help" there has been a sudden surge in the amount of Miggy Air Con use !!! .. or should I say ... attempted use .. :)

Funnily enough the Omega has been on the driveway since Thursday, and my sun tan is coming on nicely.  8-)

I did feel a little smug when I read of all these threads as I'd had my air con re-gassed months ago before the rush  ;). Life's not like that though, as the fridge side of our fridge / feezer has now chosen the hottest weather this year to die!  :'( Just over two years old on a fidge/freezer that had a 2 year warranty! :(

Good job we keep our caravan at home so we can ue the fridge in that for the minute. :y

The biggest problem is that people don't use air con all year round. I do and find i have very few problems! It's a very good way of clearing the screen! :y

Well said, I do as well and it surprises me how well it does in the winter to keep the car nice and dry and mist free windows all round.

Yeah! Mine runs all year, 'cos the idling speed drops when you turn it off, and that worries me.

Unfortunately, I have no control over the A/C at the moment - there seems to be a choice of Arctic Gale or Saharan Breeze, but the Climate Control system makes the choice, not me.  Seems more or less random - last night it was freezing, this morning it was just sitting there doing nothing whatsoever. :(

Try resetting it to start with.    Hold down a combination of buttons (described in the owners manual, or someone helpful on here who can remember ;)) on the ECC panel.

Auto & Off for 10 (I think) seconds, you here the motors whirr anyway.

Dont think it will help, sounds more like a sampling fan on its way out

Reset has no effect, and we've had the thing apart and the sampling fan appears to be working.

What do you mean "on it's way out"?  Is it not a case of "if it turns, it's working"?

I started a topic about it in General Help:
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1209036868/0

Still not fixed though. :( :(
