We pay £90 a year, that covers Mrs E and myself and is NOT car dependent .. it is personal cover, so if either one of us was a passenger in a car that broke down, then GF will still attend, also includes "dual trip" cover of the car and 'van .. if either breaks down on the way to a holiday.. we get taken to the holiday and then back home again if the vehicle is not repairable.

£90 for the two of us is very good compared to what the AA wanted, and they didn't cover the 'van either .. GF cover both car and 'van when towing..  :)

Certainly nationwide cover, and a discount if they are not there within an hour of your call .. :)

Same here! :y

I pay green flag £21 a year for roadside repair or recovery home.

Wrong! Just checked....local recovery only.

I meet people like you all the time! Local recovery is 15miles, barely across town.
I know that Nick, suits me fine. I only use the car for local journeys, when I go further afield the missus is with me and she is with the RAC.
Besides, I don't drive an omega, so I'm not gonna break down every five minutes. ;D

I've just got in from one like that; local recovery only, but broke down on a rare trip out of town at 03:30. Only cost £75 extra to get home.
10 year old, low mileage, well maintained Mercedes that 'shouldn't' have broken down.
Too much of a gamble for me.

A mate of mine got charged £120 to get taken 2 miles over the 15 mile limit and I think that was the RAC...  ::)
