Heat Resistant tape
« on: 22 July 2013, 13:51:12 »

Can any of you chaps in the know tell me if this stuff would shield the main Injector wiring loom sufficiently from the heat of the Head/Inlet Manifold?
The plastic cable tray was discarded when the car was Lpg'd and at the moment is wrapped in black cotton amalgamation tape, but i've found that the plastic Stag Lpg loom wiring protector covering is going brittle and breaking into sharp edged sections which are cutting into the wiring insulation ???
Many Thanks for any help :y

Thats kapton tape, we used to sue it on circuit boards for mod wires etc.

Not sure how good it would be in an under bonnet environment

You sure Al. ::)

I thought it was a 4 pot too and it's far easier to bin the cable tray. I just used self amalgamating tape when I taped it up into a loom on the car in the guides ;)
